Virtues

I saw these in a quiz, and decided to ramble on them. The question was, which will most positively change the world.

Oneness-By Oneness, I think unity of mind amongst men. No such process can exist, except at times when a highest priority is stroke when desperation and even despair are forged by trials of men. Such smaller sectors can end sectarian divide or goodness.
Progress-For the world improving, becoming better, progress of government, society, power, inclusion, equality or intellect or other things can be good or ill. Progress of evil can equally excel as that of good.
Freedom-I believe in a restriction of freedom should be inflicted upon those who would use it to abuse others, to use their free exercises to damage society. And organizations should established rules for this for all. Such a person or group should be restricted by some means by either individuals, government or social justice agents. Beyond this, and for only improvement of current social and political freedom, I would say that liberating the free-slaves, servants of government, the unjustly oppressed or imprisoned, is one of the highest goals and missions that any man can embark upon. To expand even further, freedom of spirit is a universal aspect of man. For men, individuals scatted across the globe, to be unveiled to this and liberated from slavery or oppression is of greatness.
Democracy-Democracy in the modern sense best reflects a government of which the people have ultimate power over it, whether through personal lobbying or more direct means. I would promote this in most every way, for a government which we can make the best for a striving and proper balance of freedom and security. However, while such a pursuit can make the world a better place, I do not see it as the greatest listed. Government is corrupt, all governments have been corrupt, as the men who run them are and where, and will always be as human nature. Thus is the nature of government, and I would discourage putting too much faith into it.
Truth-My choice would be truth. By truth, men are made aware of the true state of the situations that surround them from internal life to the global sector of reality. Knowledge is brought, and sound doctrine. The truth sets men free, empowers them from within, and unites many. By truth, coupled with love, can overcome all, and end all powers of ill, and ignorance and arrogance. It is desperately needed.
Power-Power is alike to influence. It can be good or ill. There is little to say except more power invested in any one man will be of rare good, or already will it be demonstrated the necessity of power must be vested. For the bettering of the world, power will exist as it always has, abstract and varied. It must be denied to the ill, and it will be won by the good.
Love-Love between men is a virtue and force that can overcome all, stop all damage, and bring gaps and divisions to an end, unity established for the good of many. It is a force that cannot be discounted, nor construed into a smaller sector. It conquers above all, and so it, demonstrated and not though or express, can stop all ills and cover over all transgressions.
Peace-Peace is irrelevant. This statement is justified by that however peaceful you might try to be, the guy sitting next to you, whether it be a conqueror on the other side of the globe, or literally the guy sitting next to you, will not be. Then you have the choice of laying down and dying, or fighting back. If a sort of peace stroke between national states is intended and warfare conflicts prevented, somehow, is meant, than my opinions are varied. War is Hell, but prevention cannot go so far. Evil men will always live, and they will mandate shattering of peace. No sort of evolution has ever nor will ever occur in the spirit of man, by such a thing would man cease to exist, and a sort of matter would come to exist that is nothing more than a shell or an animal. Peace is easily construed with suppression, and so the properties of Ingsoc prove true.
Potential-For potential, I think the process of offering it to others, or allowing it for others. Preventing tyranny is good, and so is allowing for one to strive for their purposes in life.
Security-There is two solid aspects of security that come to my mind. The first is that of personal security, whether in possessions, of person, or of safety. This is of no solidity and can be wiped away at a moment’s notice. It is only beneficial while it lasts. The second is that of politics, of governments offering protection, or enforcing it, upon citizens, and of protecting data crucial to national or homeland security. A balance must be stroke. Censoring the entire Internet can be argued as a means of security. But it is drastic, and a better union must be stroke in equilibrium between freedom and security.
Money-Money has potential depending upon its use for good or evil. It is often nefarious and cruel and deceiving. It holds a medium of currency and is a good standard for a socioeconomic concept in the modern world. Money is of benefit. It can corrupt.
Science-I have a strong deal of respect for science. It is of great service to mankind and I believe it must continue. It will achieve much greatness and goes hand in hand with progress. Innovation, invention and ingenuity are of great virtues amongst men.

Post subject to change, as my mind is.

Ramblings on Change, organized or unorganized

History must be learned from. If you understand and do not make the same mistakes, you will only make new ones.
To successfully do anything, for making something better, all facts must be assimilated, spread and understood. Accurate information is key-and lots of it, and it spread to all involved, and have it empower people. Information is key, and free information, obtainable, checked and accurate, is of great service. Without this, nothing better will come.

A Manifesto concerning the Provisions, Purpose and Ideal Statutes of a Government, in pertaining to current situations and persons

To Occupy, to Anonymous, to hacktivists, protestors, free people, slaves, to Syria; to all future persons, to all living, to Corporations, to governments, to all who read this, and to do who don’t.
Greetings.

It is said that “any people, anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, sacred right — a right which, we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.”
Abraham Lincoln, who spoke those words, is best known, retrospectively, for one thing: for abolishing slavery. That claim may be evaluated. The definition of a slave is best this: A slave is a person whose ability to choose their destiny has been taken away.
It is in fact true that slavery has not been abolished. It is estimated that approximately 27 million slaves live in the world. Work is being done; from brothel and mill raids to free indentured servants and the sexually exploited enslaved, to intercepting traffickers crossing borders. This work, as most would agree with, is honorable, noteworthy, and of the highest pursuit of freedom and justice. This claim can be examined and proven.
Freedom has developed, honorably, over centuries into its current state. People have always known their freedom of person, of thought, of access to information, of expression, of speech, or choosing their destiny, of their security of person. It is through the trials of many, living and dead, and long dead, and forgotten and immortalized, that such freedom has been established, politically and socially. In the security and unreachable fathoms of the individual human mind, no freedom is taken. It is the one safe haven that can be escaped to, from government, from enforcers, from villains, from all sorts of assailments and oppression.
Through collective, cooperative, work, have freedoms like previously mentioned been manifested in several factors: That governments exist for the good of the people, and not in the reverse, and that they should provide services (law enforcement, due process, fair trial) for the purpose of safeguarding the inalienable rights of every free individual. That these rights are not granted by the government, but from the human mind, and from the true forces of reality. That it is in fact, that governments should, but do not always, in cause of such communistic, authoritarian and totalitarian nations, safeguard these rights, but not provide them from themselves.
That governments should establish services such as courts that run fairly and grant due process to citizens, and to provide persons who will fight, physically, politically, socially, for the safeguard of persons, their freedoms, rights, property and destiny, that is the responsibility of government.
I will now draw to the Constitution of the United States, being in fact crafted by the hands of impassioned human beings no longer living, for the purpose of establishing such a unique and unheard of government, and nation, to establish, through its declaration, stating truth, that “all men are created equal.”
But let us highlight and examine this claim. It is true that all men are created equal. But some men are more skilled than others; some are born with opportunity ahead of others, some men have benefits above others naturally, physically, socially and politically. Does this not say that men are not created equal? By no means.
Men are created equal. But social, religious, political, physical and other factors provide to create a situation where certain beings are not granted the opportunities of others, but are burdened down by troubles heaped on them by others. It is not that they do not have the ability to excel like some, they do not have the opportunity to excel.
So should it be that all men are brought to the same stage where none has opportunity to excel greater than others? By no means-for doing such would be to limit freedom.
All men are flawed-all persons have weaknesses, disabilities, factors of negative behaviors, and a limit of perspective and knowledge. Some men take their lives, and live and take their spheres of influence for worsening the world. Such an example can be found in persons such as Hitler, Gaddafi, Assad, Osama bin Laden. Others do not, but take their lives, and use their spheres of influence for the betterment of the world, to their honorable internal convictions. Men like Abraham Lincoln who illegalized an institution of slavery, men like Gregor Mendel who would not halt fighting for their convictions, no matter the personal cost.
Then what shall it be said is the form of government, corrupt as is impossible to overcome, for it is run by corrupt beings, then best befits the free and just spirit of man, for the protection of his rights and freedoms, and for limiting the freedom of some men to destroy, murder, rob and plunder, and to use their physical, social or other source of power for sake of negative influence?
And here is the answer: A government should be transparent, allowing its options to be seen and open to observation and criticism by its citizens. A government should be elected, its persons active be taken from the numbers of its society, of the society of the world, to be elected fairly, through due process, and to hold office, of any sort, only under approval by citizens. A government should guarantee and work to safeguard the rights and freedoms of every individual, regardless of the form of technological pattern behind it. That rights are universal, that they are equal in form of both cyberspace or tangible reality, and should be preserved equally, regardless of technological advancement. A government should place some limitations on the behaviors of citizens, and be willingly to provide services such as honorable men to safeguard some from the harm of others. Likewise, governments should provide, by guarantee, a system of due process through courts for trying the accused or guilty, and provide service therein for citizens to appeal for a redress of grievances.
A government should be willingly to cede to the will of the people, and that governments should be patented to fit the region, and status of the society for which it will, as a tool, preside over. That governments should not enter into agreements with other nations, governments, that are not transparent and under general approval by citizens. That governments should have an established means of receiving the input of citizens for observation and feedback on its policies. That governments should not work for the means of organizations and persons with more power unless it is approved of by the people. That governments should not ever infringe upon the rights that must be granted to persons under it, as individual persons with inalienable rights.
And that above all, governments should not for once assume that they are not under the control of citizens, no matter whether they be tyrannical or elected by citizens.
That in the case of infringement of the above by governments, citizens should, by some means, petition for a redress of grievances. And that during this process, that the opposition must be based upon accurate and true information, not inaccurate or surging rumor, or generally accepted or assumed social patterns or behavior, and that by such process no worse infringements of rights occur.

And thus, I encourage all members and supporters of the Occupy movement, to realize the importance of governments, and that all men are created equal, and have the right to seek after whatever they so desire, including that of political office, unless it so infringes upon the rights of others, that while they still have the right to do such evil, that it should not be acceptable, for sake of doing harm to others or society at large. But that no drastic measures be taken without accurate and assertible information. Information is a source of freedom, and it is power.
To Anonymous, as a banner, that your work varies between honorable and dishonorable. But I would say this to you: To provide all persons, in your work, with as accurate information as possible through research and the seeking of information, and that inaccurate information be corrected. That the influence you have be for the bettering of social and political situations, and that you work in a spirit of freedom, but not of chaos.

Persons thus dissatisfied based on Understanding, and Accurate Information, being different of themselves, might rise up to pursue freedom for themselves and their descendants, and to make sure that authority and organizations, ranging from government to unions of varying sort, should be made and established for the betterment of society, for safeguard rights that could not otherwise be safeguarded.

A Post about Justice, Freedom and War

“The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.” ~Albert Einstein

In the past year, and indeed throughout human history, in such an array of varying integrity and freedom, man has struggled against oppression. During the events of the Arab Spring, numerous Middle Eastern nations were shattered with protests from their people. A bitter war ensued in Libya ending with its tyrant’s overthrowing and consequent death. And now as I write this, my heart lies with the Syrian people. They struggle onwards, intent on fighting on against their suppressive government. And they will never halt-they have affirmed. It is time for Assad’s regime to end.
Justice is a concept that has always lied with man. The spirit underlying is a matter of protection and security. To punish troublemakers and those who are threats to society by bad deeds- and always by those who have both the power and responsibility to do so. There are those, in a unique calling and of freewill, who have taken it upon themselves to defend the weak against the stronger, to insure justice, to uphold law, and to feed honor.

Every Man

Every man whose ever lived, is living, or ever will, shares this in common:
Everyone who comes into the world has a varying and pulsating sphere of influence, and will leave an impact of positivity or negativity in portion, no matter who you are or how important. So focus on what you control, and try and make it a better world for everyone.

Religion

Religion and spirituality is much the same thing. Religion is most generally described, referred to as, and defined as beliefs someone has, and their worship of a god or gods. Spirituality has to deal with things relating to the soul or spirit, as opposed to physical things. Belief in God, through his son, is clearly both.
Many like to refer to their walks in the Way as non-religious. I get, and agree with, the general underlying concept. And that is, false religion. But that simply cannot go over. You cannot take the word ‘religion’ and apply it as “man’s effort to get to God.” That is what religion is normally used for. Not what it is. See above definition. The English word ‘religion’, designed as a speakable term for the ideology of above-mentioned definition, is what is being discussed here.

You’ll have to deal with the fact that there are other people on the planet with different perspectives and terminology and that’s always going to be there. You can choose never to refer to it as ‘religion’, but other people will, and they’re perfectly right about it.

We’ve so construed worship

This post is constructed in the form of a prime example of all my posts: Late at night, me rambling as thoughts come to mind.

Worship is construed. True worship. Worship of God.
And how sad is that. The loving, omnipotent, just, ruling God of the universe and master of all is worthy of everything we can possibly give.
That said, there is two points I want to write about here: 1. True worship of God, and 2. Worship in general.

True worship of God
God desires us. Our dreams, our time, our resources (which, by the way, are His), us, ourselves, pure and simple. He desires us to come to him, and he is jealous. That is, he wants us. The creator of the universe is interested in you. And died for you, for that matter. Worship is our thoughts that contribute to his Kingdom, as best as I can see it. When we think of God, and witness to others about him, assemble with believers and commence church, we bring glory to Him. It is glorifying Him, who is worthy of our adoration, worship, glorification, that is true worship. It is not singing, or reading.
But those are certainly means of doing it. Thinking about Him is too. Witnessing would be another example.

Worship, in general
I once heard asked “Can you worship with a Christian hard rock song?” (the question was poised at the band Red, for the record.)
The answer is, yes. Also Christian ‘worship songs’ (as they are termed), rap, ect. As I said above, it is not dependent. Most churches in America have only the first I mentioned there, ‘worship songs’. That is fine-if our hearts are so intent on praising God.
But our traditions, cultural church life (Churchiantity as I’ve had my former senior pastor call it) have construed worship. And that is sad.
I feel this ties into a sense that worship is about us. Think about it. How do your worship? Do you have an idea about it?
Try an exercise. Think about an ideal form of worship. Raising your hands, shouting, silently reflecting on the words. What is your idea about it? And now the challenge: Next chance, do the exact opposite. Worship is about God-and it is sick to think otherwise, and maddening for us to make it about us. It’s just an element of your entertainment at that point.
We cannot be like this. The Church of God that Christ established is holy (set apart), and is not meant for our listening pleasure. It is not meant to be filled with conveniences, facilities, and for buildings to be built, more and more expensive as they come. It is HIS Church. And we must realize our purpose as a church, everyone of us, is to serve Him, and through that, the world. Not to serve ourselves with choirs, bands, facilities and the like. I challenge you to get into the Word, read every word Jesus ever said, and see how he described his Church, and compare it to the general idea and concept of church in America, and your own.

Silicon Valley- Split?

Anonymous has declared to support torrent websites. As it is, I’m thinking the activist group is all-opposed. In other words, they will support no law to protect intellectual property. The thing is, new laws are needed, if not very much. SOPA and PIPA were/are not the way-they are too flawed, vague, and would do much harm and probably no good.
Tech giants like Google are willing to come to the table over bills protecting IP rights-like OPEN Act. This bill still needs a lot of work, but it is worth intelligent discussion over, unlike SOPA.
As I see it, Anonymous will push against OPEN, or a complete redraft of SOPA, no matter what. They are all but pro-piracy. Men like Senator Ron Wyden have always opposed SOPA, but he co-wrote and sponsors OPEN. And that is what is needed- a bill that respects freedom of speech, innovation and information, and also respects IP rights. This is required. Without such a bill ever being passed, Hollywood will continue to push for bills like SOPA, destructive and not allowable. Anonymous will destroy this alternative to censorship. They are anarchic and corrupt, and their actions will destroy all chance of peaceful freedom on the Internet. And it’s worth noting that the peaceful Blackout protests have stopped SOPA and all but killed it and PIPA. Not Anonymous, they have only made things worse. And of course are getting a ton of credit for SOPA’s defeat.

American Democracy

If you are afraid to speak against tyranny, then you are already a slave. – John Bryant

The Battle of Silicon Valley vs. Hollywood speaks something to me: People active in government, the very definition of democracy. The idea that millions of Americans petitioning Congress, and issuing large-scale Internet protests speaks that the spirit of freedom is alive still in America. Indeed, the idea of corporations, the Chamber of Commerce, and lawmakers being told ‘No’ is strange to them. This is an unheard of event, and one that could have a rippling for quite awhile. Indeed, a lot of controversial bills exist- such as the NDAA and the Patriot Act, in addition to the well-known SOPA and PIPA.
So it leaves the question: Will a Corporatocratic bill pass and censor the Internet, or will a proper bill respecting both freedom speech and information, democracy, innovation, growth, and ingenuity on the Internet and copyright policy be agreed upon by both parties?
Indeed, the OPEN Act looks like a fair alternative, albeit it need a ton of work still, on similar grounds to SOPA. But it is at least worth coming to table and having an intelligent discussion over.

EDIT:
Anonymous has declared incitement of violence and organized rebellion and anarchy onto America and the world. New rambling from yours truly: Anonymous- You have successfully managed to turn a legal, peaceful and effective anti-SOPA Internet protest and begin the process of undoing withdrawal of support from Congresspersons. And destroy the world.
